The Perfect Plus Size Bridal Shower Dress
I think I am the wedding unicorn. I’ve been having a ball planning my wedding. Everyone said I’d be stressed. They weren’t lying, I am! There’s so much to do. Book the venue. Book the caterer. Book the DJ. Book the photographer. Book. Book. Book. But what they don’t tell you is that this whole wedding planning thing is really an excuse to do some serious shopping. My Pinterest boards are so lit. I’ve saved flower inspirations, tablescapes (no it’s not a table setting), tuxedos options, and most importantly pictures of things I want to wear at every event that I’m planning.
Currently, I’m shopping for plus size bridal shower dresses.

My bestie is planning my bridal shower/bachelorette weekend and she’s promised that it will be a moment to remember. She also promised that it will require me to change clothes all weekend. My kind of party!
I don’t know too much about the weekend but I know there will be a boozy bunch with 40 of my closet friends (ok so maybe I planned that part). So for my first look I will be be sporting this Soutache Tank Midi Plus Size Sheath Dress from David’s Bridal.
I bet you didn’t know that David’s Bridal had a huge selection for plus size women. I almost got my wedding dress there.
From the moment I saw this dress I was swooning over it. It’s slim-fitting and sleek which is perfect for my curves but it’s also infused with stretch just in case things get a little out of hand at the brunch. The dress is also embellished with couture-inspired swirls of the soutache ribbon (hence the name of the dress).
So can we just say that this dress is BAE.
I’m wearing this dress to my bridal shower brunch but it’s great for anyone of your wedding events from the rehearsal dinner to your small courthouse Carrie Bradshaw-inspired wedding. Not to mention that white party that you didn’t have anything to wear.

I’m completely in love. The best part is the functionality of this dress beyond my wedding events. I can throw a moto jacket or a bomber jacket and I’ve totally transformed this look. SOLD!
