My Sunday Brunch With Celebrity Cruises
Hello lovahs! If you’ve been following my journey on social media then you know that I wrote a book (*screams* more on that later) and I’ve been doing a lot of traveling.
For the record, cruises are my new thing. They really provide an easy way to travel and pack in lots of memories on a relatively moderate budget. Cruises are especially great for people who are just starting to curate their travel journey.
So about Celebrity Summit!
Yesterday I got to take a break from putting the final touches on my book and I attended a private Sunday brunch event for Celebrity Cruises. Celebrity Cruises has been branded as the ship to choose for the ultimate modern luxury vacation. So I literally hopped at the chance to experience this ship, even if only for a few hours.
When we first arrived we were treated to a cocktail hour. You know that cocktails solve everything, right! Besides the neverending cocktail we had, this ship is stunning. Not only will it take you to some of the most sought-after destinations around the globe but their new rooftop terrace is laced with pools, and hot tubs and a cinema space that will make you forget that you’re sitting in the middle of the ocean. But let’s be real. Sitting in the middle of the ocean is kinda cool!
One of the coolest parts of the Celebrity Summit is that this mega ship is led by the world’s first American female Captain, Kate McCue. YAS! (insert huge thunder claps followed by screaming little girls shouting “Girl Power”).
Chatting with her was not only refreshing but I could tell she wanted nothing more than to assure me that she had my best interest at heart. She was warm, cute and kind–we’re friends now!
Speaking of friends, I met some new ones and found some old ones. This is Jorge from I am ManChic and my amazing fellow brown cutie pies! Zoe Z (Curlz And The City) and her friend and my partner in crime, Danielle Young. Can you tell that we had too many cocktails?
Beyond the custom cocktails with fancy cranberry ice cubes, we all got to experience the mouth-watering culinary journey that cruisers find aboard the Celebrity Summit. They have distinctive restaurants on every ship and menus crafted by a Michelin-starred chef.
What does that mean?
The food is orgasmic! I highly recommend that if you’re headed to or are on a Celebrity Cruise you must eat every piece of pork available to you! Especially the bacon.
Take me back will you! Because I’m still dreaming about all the sushi, all the bacon and who could forget all the Veuve Clicquot!
