Here’s The First Thing I Did When I Started Blogging Full-Time

Just as I was about to embark on my journey as a full-time blogger, I got this super dope opportunity with smartwater and WeWork.
But working for myself has put a big dent in my couch, literally. Even though I enjoy being able to get up at noon just to not get dressed and lounge on my couch every day, I was starting to forget how pretty I look when I take a bath and put some lipstick on. Suddenly, the idea of leaving my house to get some much-needed inspiration was giving me goosebumps. And in real life, I adore smartwater and I secretly believe it makes me smarter. #DontJudgeMe
My collaboration with smartwater allows me to visit the smartwater up up up lounge here in New York once a week for two months. Listen! The lounge is like something out of a My Little Pony episode. But in a really relaxing and grown-up way. The clouds are magically infused with hip music…and some rain and thunder for effects.
Of course I still sit on the couch, LOL.
I said magically but we know there’s a science behind everything. I went to their “Lunch & Learn” where the creators of this concept explained how it was done–lots of coding, lots of things I can’t really explain, but lots of cool stuff!

The smartwater up up up lounge is pimped out with unlimited bottles of smartwater, plenty of charging stations, fluffy blue pillows, fresh granny smith apples, and a pretty sick street view perfect for people watching. The concept for the lounge was to highlight the small steps taken each day to realize your ambitions. How fitting, yes?!
I’ll be honest with you beauties, taking my blog full-time wasn’t an easy decision. But this experience is just the push I needed to realize that taking that leap of faith was what I should have done a long time ago.

In between writing my blog posts, I also managed to sneak into the photo booth. The blogger in me can never walk away from a photo booth and the big kid in me always wanted to play in the clouds.
It’s safe to say that this experience solidifies the next chapter in my journey. Here’s to doing what you love.
