What I Wore For Our Engagement Photos
I don’t how I forgot to show y’all my engagement photos but I did and I apologize. Oh, wait I know how, we’re planning this wedding all by ourselves (more on that later)! So let me tell you how these engagement photos came about… because they almost didn’t happen!
If you didn’t know hubs is also a photographer. He is usually the one who takes my style pictures (unless he isn’t free and then I get a blogger friend to do them). Because of his profession and my naturally amazing eye for fabulous ish, it was super hard to select a photographer (within our budget) who could take out of this world Bride Magazine worthy pictures of us. Throughout this whole process, I’m realizing that my bubbly champagne and lobster tails taste is really more like a 3-pc chicken meal from Popeyes. Talk about a mind-blowing realization that I wish I had not learned.
We had been pussyfooting around the idea of taking pictures for a while. I canceled on some folks and then just prayed for a solution. I had a sponsored post from Minted.com that I needed to get up asapington (read that here!).

My friends at Fashion To Figure reached out to me asking if hubs and I wanted to be featured in their Valentine’s Day Cool Couples series.
Hell yeah!
Not only did I get some fabulous clothes added to my closet but we also got our complimentary engagement photos. #Winning. Plus, the day was so fun. The photographer really connected with us and made us really comfortable. It really resonated in our photos.

I’m wearing a Fashion To Figure mesh keyhole lace top (2x) and grey flare scuba midi skirt (3x). I was really trying not to wear black but it just loves me, ya know. And I really wanted him to wear his velvet coat jacket and I wanted us to match a little. So it all worked out.
