11 Small Businesses To Support Beyond The Holiday Season
Christmas shopping may be over, but you can still be supporting small businesses through the new year as well. Whether it’s a gift for yourself, or birthday presents, or “just because” packages to your besties, here are some amazing online shops you can buy from.
1. And I Get Dressed
This community was founded by Kellie Brown. Here, you can find some killer blog posts covering all things beauty and fashion. Her merch shop has the coolest designs on t-shirts, sweatshirts, and mugs. You’ll want to get everything.
2. Arva Stories
Abisola Omole is a London-based CEO, creative director, and founder of Arva Stories. Her goal with this brand is to “tether emotions and memories to everything we do.” Most items in the shop are sold out right now, but check out the site if you’re looking for some chic vintage pieces for your home and keep an eye out for more items to be added.
3. Arẹwà Vintage
If you’re into vintage clothes, this curated shop of timeless and gorgeous items has you covered. A major bonus: the packaging is sustainable and includes the sweetest notes. Plus, 10% of every sale goes towards supporting the education of under resourced youth in Nigeria.
4. Be Jubie
This CBD company was founded by Jen Jackson. She is passionate about removing the stigma from cannabis use, advocating for cannabis criminal justice reform, and improving the wellness of its community through CBD use. This substack is the perfect gift for all the entertainment lovers in your life. Hunter Harris was a film writer for Vulture and now she’s sharing her wit and wisdom through her brand new substack. If you feel really emotionally invested in Rihanna’s love life, why celebrities start skincare lines, or why on earth Elle Fanning walked around LAX barefoot, then this will feed your soul. This shop has vintage clothing, but also loads of vintage jewelry, massive scrunchies that will make a huge statement, super chic headbands, and stickers for lovers of pop culture (need a sticker of the Golden Girls? These candles smell heavenly, plus they also sell the cutest little jars of matches and a little kit with a wick trimmer, bell snuffer, and wick dipper. It’s fancy AF and a perfect way to treat yourself to a little something. Add a few candles to your home to add some light since it’s still dark outside really early.
