How to Fall Back in Love With Your Contacts!

Disclosure: While this post is sponsored by THE eyeSOLUTION by Alcon, you beauties know that all my thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make this blog possible.

I don’t remember ever being able to see. Like, I’ve always been jealous of you folks with 20/20 vision. I was the vertically blessed little girl in your 3rd grade class who would sit at the front of the classroom and squint to the point where her eyes would be nearly shut (and red and burning) only to rebuke the idea of wearing prescription glasses.

I lost every pair, on purpose. My mom finally caved in and let me get contact lenses. I remember the day I got my first pair. I was so pumped! Like I wanted to have a party to celebrate. It was bad enough that I was the tallest in my class (even out of the boys) so I was excited to finally be a regular girl like all the others in my class. The feeling of always having something in my eye took some getting used to but my contacts left me feeling more confident. I could finally ditch my thick baby blue grandma-ish glasses.

Fast forward to 2016 and insert years of advanced technology and massive upgrades for contact lenses. Now contact lenses are super soft, hydrating, and disposable for those nights where you can’t possibly find the case for your lens. As I approach my forties (yes I will be the big 4-0 this November), I find myself right back to that feeling I had in 3rd grade sitting in the front of the classroom squinting my red and burning eyes.

What is life?

I had a “Come to Jesus” type of moment. I’m an adult now and this was a problem that I had to figure out. So instead of blaming my eyeballs (because it’s not entirely their fault) I searched for eye care products that eased my old overworked tired eyes.

I’ve been using OPTI-FREE® Puremoist® Solution for years and it helps clean my lenses by removing protein deposits and reducing lipid deposition from my lenses during disinfection and storage. I know that’s a mouthful but basically it makes your contact lenses less cloudy. Now when all my fan friends are waving at me from across the street I can actually see them clearly without blinking multiple times.

SO now it’s your turn! I know a lot of you guys wear both glasses and contacts and I wanna see you with your glasses off. Tweet me a picture of you and your favorite theeyesolution.com product.
