Reading from my book, Chapter 3: The Art Of Losing

LISTEN TO EP 57: ITUNES | SPOTIFY

When I was thinking of what to talk with you about today, it got me thinking about my bigger story of how I came to create this Self Care IRL platform. It came from my book. Writing my book was the first time I really sat down to unpack my feelings and understand what direction I wanted my healing journey to go.

For those of you who don’t already know, in 2016 I wrote a book called Things I Wish I Knew Before My Mom Died. In episode 14 of Self Care IRL, I read you an excerpt from a chapter called “Things Every Mother Should Tell Their Daughter.” So this week, I thought I would revisit my book and read you another excerpt. I’m reading from a chapter called “The Art of Losing.” It was the hardest chapter for me to write and I’m sure you can hear it in my voice.

You can purchase the book anywhere you buy books, but here’s the Amazon link.
