Things that will help battle your seasonal depression, 15 to be exact!

LISTEN TO EP 64: ITUNES | SPOTIFY

It's crazy to me that summer is basically gone and we are deep into fall. It seems like I didn't get nearly enough beach time in and my tan is disappearing which is making me upset. With that thought arrived some anxiety of the low vibrational energy that surrounds us in the winter months. Seasonal depression is a real thing and it affects us more than we admit.

Seasonal depression is a form of depression that is usually experienced during the late fall when there is less sunlight and the days are shorter and colder. It's wild that experts aren’t certain where or how seasonal depression starts in us. Some think that those seasonal changes sort of disrupt how we function during sleeping and waking hours, which cause us to feel energized and alert sometimes and drowsy at other times. Another theory is that the changing seasons disrupt hormones, such as serotonin and melatonin, which regulate sleep, mood, and feelings of well-being.

Whatever the cause of seasonal depression may be, in this episode you and I are going to discuss things that we can do to manage and maneuver around seasonal depression.
