To The Girl Who Can’t Seem to Get Her Shit Together

LISTEN TO EP 09: ITUNES | SPOTIFY

Real Talk: ‘The Girl’ is all of us. I hope this episode will help you to see that we are all just going through the same shit. Instagram will have you thinking that everyone but you is out here flourishing in their lives when really we’re all just riding the waves of life desperately trying to hold on. I know I am! In this episode, I set a few goals for myself that are guaranteed to be useful AF to you.

On the Gram

  • On the gram, I am a successful blogger with a perfect marriage who has mastered grief and has the answers for everything.

  • I will be the first to admit there are times when I just can’t get my shit together.

  • I let my mood drive me more than I’d like to admit which in turn has me in a constant dance of scramble in most areas of my life.

IRL

  • I’m constantly stuck between planning out every moment and letting the wave take me wherever it takes me.

  • The problem is, when that wave goes somewhere you didn’t expect it to or want it to and now you are nowhere near where you wanted or needed to be… child!

  • I believe that the biggest gimme gotcha of life is that we can figure this life thing out. We will never have it all figured out. To live is to be uncertain.

  • The anxiety we riddle our brains with is a useless moment in time. But it's our curiosity of the uncertain that will lead us to happiness and joy that we desire.

So, What Now?

  • Lean into the belief that the safety that we crave isn’t needed to go after our dreams.

  • Do that thing (whatever it is) even if we’re unsure because what we’ve proven to ourselves already is that being dormant and waiting for it isn’t working.

  • Question our egos and the narratives it wants to tell us to make us feel safe.

  • Reset our brains and deem what balance and success looks like at each circumstance.
